In Addition to TAP’s KDC participated in ULI’s Urban Plan program for High School and College Students. Allen was a consulting judge for Boston University and Brookline High School Urban Plan classes. See ULI’s Urban Plan web site here. Additionally, Allen updated the original ULI plan quantitative financial analysis spreadsheet with a consolidated financial model for class members.
City Planning
Allen Kieslich, as chairman of the Burlington Vt City Council’s waterfront development committee, with the help of former Vermont Govenor Howard Dean, recommended that a waterfront section of land at the bottom of College Street be zoned as a public park. This motion was accepted by the City Counsel.
This spit of land is now used for the Boat House restaurant and marina and was the impetus for the present Burlington Waterfront Park along the center city’s waterfront.
